Tiger Cowrie is also known as Cypraea Tigris, is a marine gastropod in the family of Cypraeidae also know as cowries, they have a unique shell shaped like an oval with a large mouth-like opening on the bottom side, tiger cowries get their name for their coloration and pattern through many who look at the shell will notice that unlike tigers they do not have stripes, but have spots instead.
Tiger Cowries as juveniles eat algae but as they transition into adulthood their diet changes to eating various small invertebrates and coral. these beautiful shells are found in the indo-pacific region near Reefs
