Vexillum sanguisuga is a predatory marine gastropod in the family of costellariidae
sometimes referred to as the Vampire snail though this nickname is incorrect as another snail already goes by that title and is more like a blood feasting snail than Vexillum Sanguisuga, this snail injects a quick-acting poison to paralyze its prey before feeding on it.
