Western Wing Oyster also known as Rainbow-lipped Pearl Oyster and Pteria Sterna, is a marine bivalve in the family Pteriidae.                                                                                     Found in the Pacific Coast of the Americas, from California to Peru this oddly shaped Oyster has been used for pearl culturing, it can create pearls of Gray, pink, golden, green, and purple colorations of up to 0.5in diameter pearls.
